We did a long hike in the Tze'elim Canyon just a few km north of masada.
We started quite late - at 930 (instead of 730) and naturally it took us way too long.
So the hike goes up on the right...
... we met a nice 70year old guy from Garmisch who was already climbing down. Up through the roof-top window and we were on the flat above sea level.
It's like a different planet.
On the way back. As I said we started late, nightfall is between 1630 and 1700 here, it is about 3 and we still have a long way to go.
It got dark - we only had one flashlight, and we still had to go down. We took a break to enjoy the second total lunar eclipse this year. Unfortunately my tripod was in the car...
We made it to the car about 2h later - in the dark with only one flashlight and the dark moon - which got brighter with time. We found the way down into the canyon - but without the help of an Israeli waiting at the parking lot with a flashlight finding the car would have been a bit more difficult. Anyway it was fun and small adventure.

Simba
So - bought a little Lion a couple of days ago. Had a good talk with the previous owner, know some of his collegues, price was not ridiculous seemed a nice car and a good deal.
Then the classic, i payed for the car, had all the documents and on the first round the engine striked. Worked like nothing had happened after re-ignition. The peugeot dealer said the car is fine, but wanted to sell me a sensor i don't need anyway.
So yesterday I took "Simba" into the desert to the dead sea - even went on a dirt road, with not too many big stones. He liked it and brought us home again.
Pics from the Hike will follow soon.
